               skill levels.

               evenings at 5:00 pm.
Where:    The Peace of Yarn
Why:        For you!

We hear it all the time - from our doctors, from Oprah, from our friends, and from the little voice in our heads. "You have to make time for yourself."  We know that this is good advice, yet too many of us feel guilty or that we are being selfish when we spend time doing the things that we enjoy.

There is another way to think about this issue:  As women, we are society's support system. Think of all the groups of people who rely on you: your family members (children, spouses, parents, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, in-laws, outlaws, etc.), your friends both near and far, your neighbors, co-workers, employers, employees, along with church, school, and community groups that you belong to.

The plain truth of the matter is that the more we do for ourselves, the more we can do for others. By taking care of our minds, bodies, and spirits, we are better able to take care of all of those individuals who look to us for support.

What better way to nourish ourselves than by spending time doing what we love to do with like-minded people in a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere?

We encourage you to take a time-out from your busy life and join us on Thursdays. No registration is necssary. Just show up with your current project and stay as long as you like.

It is our philosophy that knitting and crocheting are about so much more than yarn and needles. Yes, the finished projects are wonderful, but the process is just as important. One of the most astounding elements of the process is the sisterhood and camaraderie that exists among us.

We hope that you will make that elusive 'time for yourself' and join us for a bit of fun and relaxation!
