Design Your Own Sweater!   What? You must be kidding! How can I possibly learn to design a sweater? Fear not! Allyn is here teach you how relatively simple it is to develop a plan (write your own pattern) for a sweater.  It just takes some basic techniques that are easy to learn. You will learn how to use your gauge swatch and measure it correctly, chart out stitch patterns, use different yarns and gauges to alter patterns, and oh, so much more that I can’t possibly go through it all now.  Please note ** you will NOT knit an actual garment in this class – you will plan one that you will be able to knit.  If there is a particular yarn that you would love to make a sweater out of, you can even knit your swatch prior to class and use the swatch for class purposes! Other than that, there is nothing you need to bring to class other than paper, a pencil (with an eraser) and a calculator. This Special Event will be held on Sunday, June 22, from 12 noon until 3 pm, for a fee of $60.00. Pre-registration is required.
