~  FIBER FUN CAMP FOR KIDS ~ 

Calling all Kids who love to use their hands and creativity to design and create projects to be proud of while learning simple techniques that will keep them busy not only during the summer, but all year long!  Join us this summer for a week full of fiber fun!  Our camp is for children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old, and will be held from Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (light snack included each day), July 21 - 25. Camp size will be limited to 8 children per week, with a minimum of 6 per week.  The registration fee is $150.00, plus materials. Payment in full of the registration fee is required at time of registration and is non-refundable unless the camp is cancelled by The Peace of Yarn.

Throughout the week, we'll be encouraging creativity, fun, and teamwork, while learning to use our hands to create beautiful, useful things! We'll: make and embellish nametags using fibers, buttons, and beads; learn to knit and work on a garter stitch block to be assembled into a blanket to be donated to a charity that we'll vote on; learn to fingerknit a flower; learn about color and make a color wheel; dye some yarn with KoolAid; learn to make pompoms; and begin a knitting project with the yarn we dyed! Whew! Talk about a busy week!  And the best part is, the kids will take home a finished project every day!
