Knitting a blanket can be a very simple project. The actual knitting of it, that is. What can be not-so-simple is
getting started... how big should I make it, which yarn should I use, which stitch pattern to follow, what size needle, how
much yarn do I need?
In this class, you will learn all the answers! Using an Ann Norling pattern, we
will teach you how to design a blanket using the size, pattern and yarn gauge of your choice.
Required Skills:
You must know how to knit, purl, long-tail cast on, and bind off.
New Skills: You will learn
about gauge, pattern reading, reading your stitches, and how to design a blanket.
Materials: Ann
Norling Pattern #32, plus yarn and needles for your blanket to be selected as part of the class instruction. (Feel free to
bring an assortment of circular needles - size 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10)
Format: One, two-hour class
Class Fee: $25.00, plus materials.
